It is that time of year again. Spring, a time to rejoice at the newness of life. A time to start thawing out. And time to start ball season. Baseball and tennis that is.
Matthew had his first tennis lesson this week. He seemed to really enjoy it. I think it helped that he knew a couple of the boys that are also taking lessons. I also really think it helped that Austin is NOT playing tennis, therefore it is something just for Matthew. I have promised to take him to the courts to further his practice, weather permitting that is.
Weather; I have not been happy with the weather this year. God, I know that we complained because of the drought that lasted 3-4 years. And I know that we always complain because it doesn't snow in GA. And I am sure there are many other things we complain about as well. Can I say that I am sorry...please give us back our "normal" Georgia weather. I promise to try not to complain again.
Today was Austin's first baseball game for the season. We lost. We froze. End of story. No, it really was a good game and Austin pitched. He did very well at first, then...well, I am not certain what happened next. But it was still a good game and I was proud of him.
I really hope the weather warms up though. It is not very much fun watching a ball game trying to peep out from under 3 blankets and still shivering.
Well, my son wants to hang out so I am outta here for now. (let's be honest, he just needs help with something)
