Swimming in January

For those that are unaware, we have been experiencing a cold snap. Now when I say cold snap, I mean COLD. There were days that we were colder than Alaska - and we live in GA. It has been so cold that children have been cooped up inside and we have all had a little cabin fever.

So, we planned to go swimming. We have a local in-door water park (mini water park that is) and several families from our homeschool group decided to go and thaw out. Who knew the day would actually warm up to nearly sixty. We could have spent the day playing outside, but of course the kids wanted to go to the pool.

No, I did not go into the water - as a matter of fact only mom went in and I do not think she went any higher than her ankles. The pool is heated, but as we figured heated can be a relative term. To the kids it was wonderful, to Katie it apparently was a few degrees above freezing.

Here are some pictures of the kids trying to get rid of all that pent up energy in one afternoon.

  1. You got some great pictures of the play area! It was a fun day...despite the out-of-county price! :)
