Can we fire the weatherman (person)?

I am having a problem with the weather service here. It is too cold!!! Hello...isn't one of the benefits of living in the South supposed to be mild winters. Well, something is wrong when the days stay at freezing and the nights dip into the single digits. I wonder where the birds are migrating to this year.

Today begins the first day of school for 2010. I think that I am more excited than the boys, though I think two weeks off was plenty. The week of Christmas was fine, but the week after was just too much idle time. Too much video and computer time. Too much tv. Too much sleeping in. I guess this is why I am more excited than the boys.

I feel pretty good about this year. My resolutions goals this year are:
To draw closer to God
To become better organized
To follow through with my organization
To become healthier

At church this weekend, our Pastor mentioned a book Do Hard Things written by two homeschooled teenagers. This made me smile. I also freely admit that this has probably been our best year of homeschooling yet (yes, I know the year is not over). There have been considerably fewer times that I have wanted to throw in the towel. Does this mean the boys are maturing or am I? Just kidding...as I said, it has been a very good year.
